There is not much exciting to report about the last couple of weeks.
Speaking for me and Rob, we actually spent most of the time in the dental chair. Rob because of his surgery, which he had postponed already for years.
And me? A regular check up resulted in one treatment after another, dislocated jaws and...heavy bills!
I will not comment on this any further. I’m just happy Rob’s mouth is healing well and I don’t have to play the nurse anymore.

I’ve already mentioned that Maarten really enjoys his preschool which makes us very happy.
In fact the school environment actually intrigued me so much, that I was considering becoming one of the teachers!
I was pretty disappointed to learn that I would not be able to finish the teacher training before we will have to leave the States.
My hope grew somehow, when I found another institute offering the same training but in an intensive and therefore much faster way. I was so excited when the director invited me for an interview. She was very friendly and we had an optimistic and promising conversation. Quite a bunch of stuff and formalities had to be arranged, like evaluation of my education, fingerprints and I even had to take some extra classes at college to equal an American student. A lot of organizing but that shouldn’t be a problem.
There was only this strange feeling in my stomach. I was not that thrilled about the academic content I’d learned about during this interview...
While doing the laundry later that day (the time when the best ideas arise!) this gnawing feeling just wouldn’t go away.
I was analyzing the whole thing again and again and then suddenly I had to admit that Rob was right. Unfortunately, this study is not challenging enough for me.
To be honest I truly was awfully disappointed. Considering our way of life, I believed I’d finally found a profession I would be able to do all over the world.

Anyway this experience brought me to another idea...
