It’s a shame there are no devils at the party according to the Czech tradition but it’s still a lovely gathering.
Maarten gets a bonus teddy bear from Mikuláš as the youngest one and enjoys himself so much. All the children are performing! Most of them are playing piano or trumpet and there are two girls who sing so nicely. Each child sits on Mikuláš’s lap and receives a gift from him and from the Angel.
While singing the Czech Christmas carols I'm completely lost in emotions. It is so beautiful despite some very falls parts ;-) Everybody has a wonderful time.
Besides of that I finally come in touch with some very friendly members of the local Sokol and hope to join them soon.

tak vy jste meli opravdovou Mikulasskou nadilku? Tady u nas v San Diegu se taky jedna konala ale moje dcera je na to jeste dost malinka (4 mesice), tak jsme tam nakonec nesli. Jak dlouho uz zijes v Kalifornii??

ano, poradal to mistni Sokol SFO.
Jsme tady od listopadu 2005, ale na Mikulasi jsme byli poprve, taky hlavne kvuli veku synka (v unoru mu budou 3).
Nevim, jestli to jeste budes cist?
